Half Shells first opened its doors in 1995 in Dallas’ Snider Plaza as part of the Fish City Grill family. From the beginning, the goal wasn’t to build a chain — it was to create a neighborhood seafood restaurant people would come back to again and again.

The formula was simple: serve fresh seafood and oysters, treat guests like regulars, and create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where great food and genuine hospitality come together. That approach quickly built a loyal following and became the blueprint for every Half Shells and Fish City Grill location that followed.

Today, that same philosophy continues to guide the brand as it grows — bringing fresh seafood, neighborhood hospitality, and a proven concept to more communities.

Our Food

Fish City Grill is built around fresh seafood, friendly service, and a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. The menu is seafood-driven, with most items prepared from scratch in-house, and includes signature dishes like Oyster Nachos and Serafin’s Fish Tacos — guest favorites since day one.

Our rotating chalkboard specials are a defining part of the concept. Seasonal offerings change often and give each location the flexibility to feature items that fit their local market while keeping guests coming back to see what’s new.

Through our 1st Tuesday giving events, we partner with local charities and donate 15% of sales on the first Tuesday of every month to causes that matter most to our guests.
